Older MIS inks Vs. New

Older MIS inks Vs. New

2005-01-25 by panmedia

Have heard all the praise for the Newer UT inks. As I have MIS' older
inks I would like to know the major differences of them.

Older inks:

The Original MIS Quadtones
MIS Full Spectrum Quadtones (FS, FSN)
MIS Variable Mix Quadtones (VM, VMS)

And the current UT ink family:

UT, UT2 and UT7 are variable tone inks
UT-EZN, UT-EZW, UT-FS and UT-FSN are fixed or single tone inks

Anyone, especially Paul, can summary the differences, the pro and con
of the older and newer generation inks?

With newer UT inks available, is it (any) worthy to (finish) use the
older inks?

Thanks.

The new UT inks have no dyes in them and are glossy paper compatible.

I'd throw them away and start over with UT family inks.
