With epson ultrasmooth paper, is this considered a matte paper, thus using matte black settings in QTR or should I use photoblack setting? Is this subject to my own discretion and liking, or does the paper require one or the other. With matte or gloss papers the choics is clear to me, but with papers that are in between, i.e ultrsmoothe, semimatte, luster finishes I'm not sure which black to select . Thanks

Ultrasmooth is a matte paper. Basically if it looks like paper (rather than varying degrees of shine photo paper) use MK. Semigloss, semimatte, luster etc are all PK papers.

Epson UltraSmooth is a matte paper and will give you a deeper black if you use Matte black ink. Semimatte and luster are RC based and require PHoto black ink as the matte black will rub right off. Use the matte setting in QTR with UltraSmooth.
