Using Eboni Matte black in Epson R800 ?

Paul and others, For use of the Epson R800, is there any reason that one could not or should not substitute Eboni Matte black, from MIS, for the MIS R800 black ink ? The SET of R800 inks - http://www.inksupply.com/index.cfm?source=html/r800ink_org.html Which includes the Matte Black as the ESCR800MK version, is, as per my phone call to MIS, the Universal Matte Black version, and not the Eboni version. I know that the R800 has a different spectrum of colors, but most likely they are the basic 2200, 7600, 9600, etc. ultrachrome inks, with the substitution of the blue and the red. However, they may be a different formulation and that formulation may not accept Eboni. We would be using new MIS cartridges and filling them with Eboni, if we do this. (We could even start the printer with this Eboni cartridge, rather then the enclosed Epson black cartridge.) It would not seem, since the printer would remain a color printer, that the Eboni black would throw off the Epson profiles, particularly. Or that I could not adjust with a few curve tweaks. At this page, the author strongly suggests using Eboni on the 2200, http://www.cjcom.net/articles/digiprn3.htm The R800 1.5 picoliter dots may use a smaller nozzle head opening and the Eboni carbon pigments may not tolerate the smaller nozzle opening. This is a B&W forum, but by far the most advanced printing forum, and highly knowledgeable on the use of MIS Eboni in printers, and I invite responses. Thanks, Elsie
