PKN and purge procedure for 4000

PKN and purge procedure for 4000

2005-02-05 by jsigmonmd24

Can anyone who has used the MIS PKN in epson 4000 tell me if they
just purged the photo black only. If that's the case, did you purge
by running BO prints until clear or did you use the MIS purge
procedure for the 7600 seen on the MIS website.

Thanks in advance

I just printed BO prints using a 100% black 8x10 file and then printing
with the Epson driver, selecting an RC paper type. I started by
loading a virgin, empty refillable 7600 cart from MIS with the PKN. It
may take 12 or more prints to clear the old PK ink in the line.
Probably a good idea to print a standard test file (21 strip gray or
whatever else you wish to use) in between every 4-5 prints so you
assess progress in replacing the PK with PKN.
