Print Exchange Submissions

Print Exchange Submissions

2001-11-17 by Scott Hendershot

To all who are participating in the Print Exchange,

I would like to have all of the prints by December 15th. That gives us about
4 weeks to get them completed. If I get them all in by the 15th I can have
them out in the mail on the following Monday and everyone should have them
before Christmas. I will, of course ship the packages earlier if I receive
all of the prints earlier.

There are 32 participants so you will need to make 31 prints of each image
you are submitting. Please package them in such a way as they will not be
damaged in transit. U.S. Postal service is fine as is FedX or UPS. There is
someone here at the house everyday so they can be delivered at any time.

Send the prints to:

Scott Hendershot
485 Ridge Road
Webster, NY 14580

The follow is from the Print Exchange Guidelines on the Digital Black and
White group list. I will subscribe to this methodology for shipping the
prints back to the participants.

I would prefer that each participant be responisble for:
1. The return packaging.
2. The return shipping cost and shipping bill.

If you can't provide the return packaging and shipping that is ok. Those
that do will be the first to receive the return packages. The others will be
shipped as soon as I can package them and get to the post office. I have to
say though that I really like the idea of participants prepaying the
shipping through their own FedEx account. This is the way that I have
shipped most of my prints in the past. Now I do alot through the USPS
because they have made it easy on me. Priority mail is fast and inexpensive.
If you would like your package returned by Priority Mail please get a
Priority Mail shipping label from the post office and fill it out and
include it with your prints.

I do have a Paypal account. Those that do not prepay the return shipping can
pay me through Paypal. I do not know what the weight of the print packages
will be yet. I will see if I can get that information from the last print
exchange.

A small FedEx box is 10.75" x 12.25" x 1.5".

1. Prints should be about 8.5'' x 11" or whatever the metric equivalent is.
They should fit into a small FedEx box.
2. Please provide return packaging if you can.
3. Please provide a prepaid return shipping bill or postage if you can.
4. Please provide an information sheet for each print. This would be
whatever information you would like others to know about your print.
5. Place each print into a plastic sleeve with the information sheet in the
back of the sleeve. This will not only protect the prints but will keep all
of the informaiton together with each print.
6. Please email me a thumbnail image of about 150x200 pixiels to be added to
the website.
7. Please visit the website I have set up for the exchange and enter
information about the prints you will be submitting.

   www.praxis-systems.com/inkjetexchange/printexchange.asp

I think that is it for now. I have set up an email list for the exchange.
printexchange@.... Sending an email to this address will
distribute it to all of the members of the exchange and cut down on off
topic or irrelevant postings on the Digital Black and White list. Everyone
who has supplied me with an email address is on this mail list.

Thanks to everyone. I will continue to post info and progress reports

I would like to do mine as an 8"x12" image on a 9.5"x13" page (1/2 of a
13"x19" sheet). Will this cause anyone problems? It's not a bit deal, if
so. It just saves me from ordering a pack of 8.5"x11", which I don't
normally use.

Oops. Never mind. I hadn't thought ahead to finding plastic sleeves that
size. I guess they will be 8.5"x11" after all.

Hi Scott-

I kept thinking I was going to make the deadline, but I won't- holiday
madness and the siding job that keeps getting bigger. Anyway, no real
excuses for not dealing with this earlier ;-((

Let me know if the deadline gets extended.

Sorry again.

And let's not forget the clogging and the throwing of my printer through the
window... and Todd, this rum is not helping... the printer.

Maybe it's time for the Baileys creme? Are you sure you've got one eye

Carolyn

Please accept my profound apology. I am in one of my unbearably obnoxious
moods today. That was unbefitting to both you and the list.

I'll get a grip.
