MIS 7600 Archival ink and 2200

MIS 7600 Archival ink and 2200

2005-03-02 by Mr_Misty_44

Has anyone replaced their Epson Ultracrome inks in their
2200,4000,7600,9600 with the MIS Ultracrome equivalent inks. How do
they work with QTR and IJC profiles to make B&W prints. Are there any
noticable problems such as cloging, etc. vs. the Epson Ultracrome ink.
Please let me know ASAP. I'm thinking of changing to the MIS inks and
the clear carts.

John H

P.S. Does anyone know if MIS developed these inks or are they
purchased from someone else.

Until recently I used the setup you are proposing with my 2100 - QTR for
B&W. No problems. I like the new refillable cartridges. I did my own
profiles though.

The profiles that come with QTR work really well for me with this
inkset. With the UT7 inkset I've created my own.

For color work I found the reds were too weak. A custom profile fixed that.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
