Digital BW, The Print

Looks like Canon has thrown their hat into the ring:

They have two new PIGMENT printers with a gloss black and a matte 
black ink. 

One is 44 in and the other is a 24 inch model.

I heard about these yesterday, but had no idea until today that they 
used PIGMENT inks.

Now things are getting REAL interesting.

The 8200 and 6200 also used pigment inks. Looks like these new 
printers get better gamut (improved yellow, etc.). I wouldn't hold my 
breath waiting for them to come into the USA, I think it took 2 years 
for the 62/8200 to come here, and that was just last year. This is 
good for competition with Epson though, and can only serve to drive 
prices lower.
