Digital BW, The Print

I was just notified by Wausatch that they are finishing a beta 
program of a new B&W RIP that will be packaged with their color 
SoftRIP. Initially it will be available for the 7000/9000, but 
ultimately on other printers as well.

I was told by a third party source that it was tested using MIS 
Original Quads. I can not confirm this. I would imagine that whatever 
inks used could be profiled to work with this system.

The playing field seems to be getting wider.
