Curves for Photo Rag and QTR for Windows

Curves for Photo Rag and QTR for Windows

2005-04-01 by Andy

I do not see a curve for Ham. Photo Rag paper in my QTR list. Given
how popular this paper is, I am wondering if I am just missing it, if
it is labled as something else, or am I to download it from somewhere.
EEM's curves are working quite well for it, but I am guessing a
specific profile might be even better. Where is it? (I am using
Epson's inks).

thanks

Hi, I'm new here and so this is a newbie response but you do have to place the curve info for papers other than those originally covered in the QTR package. Treat it the same as you might for PS. On PC's in XP you need to put it in system32/spooler/driver/color ... that may not be exact but you'll see the folder if you go looking. Get the porfile from a web site of a reseller or the company itself. You'll need one specific to your paper and (often) light conditions. You could try either lexject.com or the company site (I do not know that).

QTR curves are mot ICC profiles. They do not belong in the
system32/spooler/driver/color folder.
