MIS VM HEX& Photo Ex

2001-11-28 by ernst@swissrisk.com

Hello,

I have been lurking some time on this list, and now I have my outing :-)). I
have learned a lot by just reading your mails and comments, and I like this list
a lot, but now I have a question:

Recently I have seen several prints made by MIS inks, and immediately I ordered
VM Hex Inks and a CIS for my Epson Photo Ex. The customs has told me that it has
already arrived, and I am looking forward to install it. However, I was not
successful in finding any workflow and curves for the Photo Ex. Is there any
setting I could use, or should I try to get another Epson printer.

Thanks a lot,

Ernst

Ernst,
I'm working on tweaking Paul Roark's Epson 1200 curves for the
PhotoEX (Win2K). The curves seem to be very printer specific and need to be
adjusted a bit for each printer and platform. So far I've gotten pretty
close on the "neutral-cool" or "nc" curve. I'd be happy to share my results
with you, or anyone else. My next project will be to tweak the
"medium-warm" or "mw" curve. On my system this curve actually seems to
print nearly neutral (r=g=b). I've installed the CIS from MIS so let me
know if you have any questions. My setup went pretty smoothly and did not
need all of the cleaning and purging cycles that are suggested in the
instructions. Good luck. Contact me off-list at deangelj@....

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
