MIS Eboni in 2200

2005-04-18 by btvarner

Ok,
I guess this has been discussed somewhere & I just missed it. The
obvious things are what I sometimes overlook.
I have been printing using Roy's Quad Tone on a PC for sometime with
no
issues and very pleasant results. I have been disapointed however
with
the warm tone of the EOM inks, so I purchased the MIS Eboni Black-POS
#UT7-T0348-K.
I installed the cartridge and the Epson 2200 does not recognize the
cartridge and refuses to print. I can put the Epson cartridge back
in
and it works fine. What am I doing wrong?

You are doing nothing wrong, Bruce. MIS sent you a cart with a bad
chip, it just happened to me a few weeks ago. Go to their website
and open a tech support request- they will email you a couple
of possible workarounds and if they fail, you will receive a replacement
chip by mail.
Great guys, great ink but poor quality control.

Regards

Andrei

It's probably a bad chip. Contact MIS.

Bruce,
When you figure this out, let me know. I'm fighting the same battle only I'm trying to use the entire set of UT inks and getting basically blank paper out of the printer. Put back the Epson ink and no problem. Thanks.
