Installing Quadtone RIP 2.2a Mac OS X - QUAD2200 doesn't appears as option

Installing Quadtone RIP 2.2a Mac OS X - QUAD2200 doesn't appears as option

2005-04-21 by wooismyid

I had been using QTR 2.0. Hadn't used it in a while, and went I went back to print I saw
that the option was gone.

For good measure, I downloaded the latest version off Roy's site (2.2a) and used the
installer package on my machine, which is running OS X 10.3.9.

The installer ran successfully, but there are no Quad2200 options anywhere. I uninstalled
everything (includng my stock Stylus Photo 2200 settings), and reinstalled. Rebooting
doesn't seem to help.

Is there a trick to getting the installer to work? Judging from the instructions it seems like
it should be turnkey but I'm not finding that to be the case.

Thanks for any help.

John

In addition to installing the 2.2a package you have to run the
installer for your printer (with the machine turned on). The printer
installer is in a folder with the printer name.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
