OT-Virus alert

OT-Virus alert

2005-04-24 by Paul Roark

I've been receiving a lot of phony e-mails with a "text.zip" file attached
and a message that says, "The message cannot be represented in 7-bit ASCII
encoding and has been sent as a binary attachment." The latest one is from
sales@.... Since most of us use this outfit, which may now be
infected by the worm, we're all probably going to be getting these e-mails.
Needless-to-say, do not open the attached file.

For more information on the worm, see

Hey Paul,

Thanks for the heads up. One thing to keep in mind is that Google Groups masks email addresses. If you need to refer to one in a post, the best way is to spell out the word "at", like "sales at something.com".

Ciao!

Joe
