FrankWard in PhotoEye

2001-12-04 by Mark Tucker

Just got the email for the new newsletter. I get them almost
WEEKLY now; those people must be busy! Anyway, our own
Frank Ward is featured in this week's edition:

http://www.photoeye.com/index.cfm

Thanks for the post, Mark..

I could not find your interview with PhotoInsider Magazine on the
web. In fact, their website stinks.

Shutterbug Magazine (Web Profiles, December) recently posted
a review of my website at:

http://www.shutterbug.net/web_profiles/story.cfm?StoryID=3796

Sorry for the horn tooting, Frank

The interview is only in the printed magazine, I guess. Maybe it's
better that way; my mother is the only person who's actually read
the article from beginning to end, and not fallen asleep. (At least
she *SAID* she read it).

Did I mention enough brand names in the article, (Epson, MIS,
Imacon, Hasselblad, Fuji....)?

Mark,

Thanks for the link.

Frank,

A very compelling and impressive set of images. Well done and best of
luck with the show!

All,

There as been a lot of debate over whether inkjet prints would be
acceptable in the world of fine art photography. I am beginning to
suspect that as we have kicked it around here, it went off and got
accepted. So stop being shy about showing your prints!

Thanks, Martin.

As for the arrival of digital printing in the art market, carbon
pigment prints look great and we are all working on making
them look better. It seems that every digital generation of
materials leads to better prints. The problem is the expense of
keeping up.

This holiday season I've had several requests from people
wanting to buy prints no matter what the medium. Hopefully, this
new attitude will help me cover the expense of "keeping up."
