4000ppi scanner trade

http://www.imaging-resource.com/SCAN/SS4000/SS40A.HTM This is the original 4000ppi Sprintscan...resolution is said actually to be that high. Does not have Digital Ice...use a dust and scratch filter. Might be perfect for somebody shooting 35mm B&W because Digital Ice is no help in B&W anyway. I bought this as part of a package. It was said to work perfectly and I'm confident in the source. It appears in good physical condition, has carriers for film and slides, has Silverfast and Polaroid software. I've not used it because it requires an SCSI card: none of my PCs have SCSI cards and in any case I already have Nikon and Epson scanners. I didn't need this scanner. PCs rarely have SCSI cards but they can be obtained cheaply. Many (not all) Mac G4s and earlier reportedly have SCSI cards, but you'll have to confirm that for yourself. Don't consider this deal unless you are somewhat technically confident, don't bet on SCSI/USB adapters. Open to partial trade, one way or another, for operationally excellent Leica/Voigtlander stuff or 13X19 paper or carts for 2200. Contact me offline if interested. Your only risk would be shipping $ within the US.
