MIS UT-7 LK with OEM inks in Epson 2200

MIS UT-7 LK with OEM inks in Epson 2200

2005-06-11 by Charles Wilber

I am using Epson inks in my 2200 except for Eboni black. I bought the
MIS UT7 LK and put it in the light black position. The 2200 recognizes
it as a 348 black instead of as a 347 light black and will not
function. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Chuck

Chuck;

If you still have it, take the chip off the original Epson LK and put
it on the MIS cart. If it reads empty, get a chip resetter if you
haven't already. Also, call MIS and tell them the cart has the wrong
chip on it, they'll probably send you another one free. I assume you're
keeping the rest of the printer set up for color, how are you going to
deal with the color shift caused by the neutral eboni and slightly cool
UT7 LK?
