I think MIS states that you should call them if you are interested in FS
inks in hextone.

I believe the situation is this -- For those using Piezo ink and driver in a
hextone printer, the FS inks can be used by putting the full strength cyan
and magenta inks in both the full-strength and light/"photo" ink positions
for those colors. That is what the Piezo system does, and it works very
well. However, if you do this you cannot use the Epson driver. From my
experience, the Epson driver cannot be controlled in a manner that allows an
acceptable print with the same density inks in the full-strength and
light/photo positions. So, there is no Woolf curve that works for hextones
and FS inks.

Paul,

What if you leave the photo chambers empty or fill them with clear
base?

... that means: for MIS VM Hex printing on a 7000/7500 you need
the Piezo Pro 24 software ?

Paul,

I have been playing with the FS in a 1280 and have found that a tweak
or two to your warm curve for the VM inks with the Epson driver works
as well as the Piezo driver with Piezo inks on EAM. I made 2 or 3
quick adjustments on the curve and got very close, just need to spend
a little more time to get it perfect.

I also see that yahoo is messing up the senders ID again, please do
not respond to the e-mail address that is most likely going to show
up as I almost never check that one. Oh well been getting all kinds
of errors from many of the groups lately.
