MIS Vm curves and other papers...

2001-12-11 by lyonscox

I was curious (& my eyes are tired so I'm going to bed
without looking further, my apologies) how applicable
the curves for MIS VM were for papers of different
varieties other than EAM? Basic question.

I do understand they can be very printer model specific.
Will do my 'homework' another night in lieu of an direct response.

Thanks,

Cleavis in AZ

PS. I dredge the shop sites regularly and came across an
1160 for nearly $400 about 45 days ago. Held off. Hit
this week with the following link...

Mine ships out shortly, so it should be safe to post ;-)
My partner supports the buy and we both wonder where it
will live with a C80 and 3000 already on baker's racks.
Currently reading "Real World Photoshop" and Dan M's
Photoshop 6 color correction book. Feel like I'm in
training...:-) Looking foward to some banter (&printing).

Cleavis,

In general I have found that the 1280 curves for EAM also print very
well on all the Hahnemuhle papers I have tried. German Etching, Photo
Rag, William Turner, and Torchon.

The curves did not match up so well with the Eclipse Satine and
Velvet, Legion Photo Matte and Museo. However the curves were usable
but required some adjustment within the image file.

The 1160 having been in use longer may have more curves available.
