Are these inks available only in bulk or can they bought in cartridges as well?

I just had a sniff of light black. They do smell different. The old
one smells like... ummm... fountain pen ink and/or some kind of
cleaning product I can't place. The new one lacks some of the earlier
smell but has (or has more) ammonia smell.

If these inks mix better with Epson UC's, does that mean
that they are inappropriate for mixing with Ultratones
- for toning etc.

thanks,

I'm hesitant to buy these new "Pro" inks if there is yet another new
set of inks coming out soon that have the bronzing-free base that
Paul mentioned recently.

Will there be new bronzing-free UT2 inks?

I think they might be one in the same, but I could be wrong since I
don't know who really makes these inks. And I'm not going to buy a
sample of these new inks just to confirm or deny my suspicions. If
someone wants to trade some of what I have for some of what you have,
then maybe. I have an abundance of light black (since I don't use that
color, and the last order I received had a nice big bottle of light
black with the others that I ordered).

Bronzing has always been free, even Epson didn't charge a premium for
the extra bronze effect ;-]

Only the people at MIS can answer that.

Everyone's a comedian!

I don't yet have enough details to know the answers to these questions.

There appears to be a new base that results in virtually bronze-less
printing. I'll know more in about a month. (Coincidently when my fade test
has gone long enough to evaluate the UT7 inks with the new base.)
