I use cotton stuffing meant for chairs in my 7500 and 7600.

Did you find good instructions for getting to the waste pad in the 2200?
The little I found made it sound like a major project.

Go to your corner drugstore and buy some Tampax or a bag of cotton
balls. Save yourself $30.

This is what I use in my printers, you should be able to get them
many different places. The only purpose that this stuffing fills is
to keep the ink from sloshing around while the printer is printing,
or when you have to move the printer. There is absolutely nothing
special about the packing that Epson uses.

Getting inside most of the desktop printers can be difficult.
