Priming easy-refill carts -- new procedure

Priming easy-refill carts -- new procedure

2005-08-02 by Paul Roark

MIS has revised its filling procedure for the C86, R200, R300, R800 type
carts.

The problem was, apparently, that priming the carts as originally specified
caused the ink to foam up in the sponge section. Now MIS recommends priming
by drawing ink through the reservoir. That is, leave the stopper out and
stop air from going into the foam section.

Thanks for the heads-up, Paul. Any guess as to whether this
applies to the 2200 carts as well?

Seems like it should...

I assume the new procedure also applies to the 2200 carts. I noticed their
page for the C82, 2200, etc. has not been changed, however.

Thanks very much for this heads-up, Paul, I just received empty
carts and bulk EZ ink for my C86 and was planning on doing my first
re-fill tonight! Talk about good timing.
