Digital BW, The Print

The newest Windows driver for the 2400 (5.52 posted on the Epson site 
on 8/22) has a serious bug in the ABW mode.  "Fine Adjustments" (rather 
than simply "neutral," "warm," etc.) can be selected in the driver and 
as you back out of the menus appear to be set.  But the driver does not 
actually use the settings for printing and when you return to the 
driver next time all the settings are zeroed out.  After a few of those 
dismaying hours that only a computer can provide I had to reinstall the 
original 5.51 driver.  As if any of us needed any more out of control 
variables in this process.
