Help Black Cart. swap 7600

Help Black Cart. swap 7600

2005-08-15 by fultonpark1

I need an easy way to swap matte black cart for an MIS cart without wasting ink.
Also where are the dampers on the 7600 and do I need to clean them.
Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Raphael Sloane

I have a roll of butcher paper (cheap at Costco) that I use to print a large
black image on. A couple 18 x 30" prints will do it. UC MK and MIS Eboni
are sufficiently compatible that I do nothing more.

My 7600 had fairly high mileage and started to have bad nozzle checks. As
an alternative to new dampers, I put in cleaning fluid and let it sit for a
bit more than a week, with daily cleaning cycles and printing purge
patterns. The nozzle checks have been perfect ever since the cleaning
effort.

There is a way to do the swap without triggering the purge cycle that
watses huge amounts of ink. If you contact me of-list I'll e-mail you
the instructions
