Favorite paper for MIS quads

Favorite paper for MIS quads

2001-12-17 by Kevin Masten

Just spent the weekend playing with my new 1280 Quad system. I'm
using the NomMoreCarts CIS and Paul Roark's work-flow. All I can say
is... wow! Thanks again for the help and the transfer curves Paul.

I'm sure this topic has been beat to death, but what other papers are
people having success with using this work-flow? I'm using Epson's
Archival Matte and am pleased with the surface texture, but I'd like
to find a little warmer paper.

I also was wondering if there is a similar paper with better archival
properties.

Thanks,

Kevin

Kevin,

most other choices are likely to cost a lot more. I don't use MIS inks (I have
piezo on 1160), but I would suggest you look at the Hahnemuehle papers,
especially Photo Rag. They are sold under different names - see alternate
names in our Paper Data files here.
Also popular is Museo (by Crane), Eclipse (from Brightcube), the Somersets
and other Legion papers. You may be at a point where bying sampler packs
would be a good idea. Good sources are Inkjetmall, mediastreet, brightcube
and digital art supplies.
