MIS UT-7 with new base

MIS UT-7 with new base

2005-09-01 by yohnnyboy

As Paul indicated in another post MIS is now shipping UT-7 inks with
the new base. I wasn't aware of that when I ordered some UT-7 last week
but apparently this inkset does use the new base. Bronzing is
completely gone. I tried prints on Epson premium luster, Epson premium
glossy, and Pictorico high gloss white film and saw no bronzing at all.
I used the new profiles with OPM/IJC that avoid the PK ink. By way of
comparison I do see a tiny bit of bronzing on Epson premium luster
printed with K3 inks and ABW in an Epson 4800. The UT-7 inks on glossy
papers are now quite nice!

Thanks for the update. From your response I infer you used a complete set of
the new inks. Were the IJC/OPM profiles you used originally developed using
the old UT7 ink base? If so, that may answer my first question. The other
questions are still there... yet to be answered.
