I have not received the new inks, so I don't know.

A few days ago there was a thread on this.  The base is chemically
compatible with the old base and Epson pigs.  With the color inks (MIS Pro),
the colors may be slightly different.  Thus MIS recommends not mixing.
Another member here has found them close enough that it's not a big deal if
you just add the new inks on top of the old.
