Pizza wheel marks

Pizza wheel marks

2001-12-18 by lyonscox

Had my first experience with Pizza wheel marks this evening on my
Epson 3000 using Lysonic E ink and Luminos Premium Charcoal R paper
(using the whiter side, coated I presume).

Before I went to remove the pizza wheels I wanted to check the list
for any negatives that may not have cropped up yet. In the meantime
I will read the couple of articles at
http://www.tssphoto.com/sp/dg/news/archive/IJN_01-05-01.html

Before removing them I will also make a second print and
adjust 'thickness' setting on the printer (it was set to 0 not +). I
haven't quite figured out which way it's supposed to be for thick
papers, I'm presuming on the + side.

I didn't have to remove the pizza wheels in my 3000 until I went to
use a coated paper...Lumijet's Charcoal X. Arches Hot Press did fine
with nothing to note.

The wheels are there to allow printing to hold the paper in line and
eject with tight margins. If you have wide borders it's not needed.
