On 2400 ABW and yellow ink . . .

For what it's worth, over the past three months I have now printed many hundreds of 13 x 19 prints on a 2400 in ABW Neutral. The yellow ink usage is quite minimal in terms of ink actually used (as opposed to a microscopic examination of a print where yellow is visible). Over about 100 cartdrige changes, the yellow has been changed at almost exactly the same rate as the cyan and magenta--which is to say that most of the yellow seems to go into cleaning cycles. Because of these pesky little cartridges and the need to keep them in inventory, I have an exact record of usage for each of the eight. The CMY cartridges are used at about one-quarter the rate of the others, with the LK being the most used of all inks. After that, in descending order of use, it's LLK, MK, LC, LM. To be specific on the driver settings, I am using: ABW, "neutral," "light," MK, and VFA or EEM.
