Editing ICC profiles?

Editing ICC profiles?

2005-09-10 by wwodets

What software is available for editing ICC profiles? And what software
is available for using the i1 spectro to read directly in density (RGB
numbers)?
Many thanks,
Walt

Quickread will work with the i1 and output LAB, visual and CMY
densities. It will also strip read. I use it with a Mac. I don't
know if it is still available (was a free download), but I can send
you the download sit file if you want it.

Depending on when you bought your i1 there is a profile editing module
coming soon. Else PM 5 and others. But you will not likely find this much
use with the B&W profiles. None of the existing software I am aware of is
geared for editing greyscale profiles. Colorshop X (Mac) has a facility but
it really is rather useless. Editing the black point and white point is
easy but altering the curve between them is almost impossible.
