Shutdown Printer For Extended Period

I would appreciate any advice for shutting down my C86 and 1280 printers for two or three months. I have Eboni black cart in the black space and the Epson color carts in the rest. Should I take the black cart out and put tape over the nozzle and the vent and then put in plastic bag? I wwish to avoid any problems in the future. Thanks for any advice.
