UT7 / 2200 Refillable Carts Experience
2005-09-12 by Eric Bowman
Hi, I am debating switching my 2200 over to UT7 and the refillable carts. I know that when I was thinking about switching a few months ago, there seemed to be some reports of spotty QC with the carts, air bubble problems, etc. Have people had better luck with these of late? I have had a terrible time trying to get my 1280 to work with the spongeless carts, and I really don't want to go through that again. The 2200 has only been used with Epson UC inks, and I've only had one imperfect nozzle check (that being after 2 weeks out of town; one nozzle was missing, and one cleaning cycle cleared it.) Is there any reason to expect that it will not perform as well with the UT7 inks? Also, any experience with the "new base" UT7? The little I've seen indicates that the bronzing on glossy is much better, if not gone. Thank you for your help - I guess I'm looking for encouragement! Eric
