Lyson has published some profiles for your printer and for proofing in Photoshop, but it is far from WYSIWYG or WYSIWYP. My tendency was to over tone... If you go to the Lyson website you will find a "standard" and "advanced" tutorial. They are both worth reading (with the caveat that some of the settings need to be toned down). I don't have any metamerism issues... I thought the LSG were dye based inks??? One of the very strong reasons for using SG is that you can print really nice glossy and semi-gloss pics that you just can't do with any pigment ink I am aware of. >> thanks for the reply, just found some NY suppliers, will give SG a shot as soon as I run out of quad Black. I believe the SG inks are dye based as are the quad black. Metamerism exist not just on pigment inks, possibly not as strong as Epson 2000. Because we are trying to print B&W it is easy to see. I also experianced the same thing trying to print BW with original epson Inks. Most strong on Matte heavy weight. I have seen the Lyson tutorials, I am sure the trick is in real subtle adjustment. For using SG inks I think Vivd details test strip 3 will come in very handy, allowing several varations to printed in one side by side proof. I hve had great success with the lyson quad on several Glossy papers. that is why I am eager to tweak the color tone slightly. Evan
