printing A3+ format with Epson Stylus 1160

printing A3+ format with Epson Stylus 1160

2005-09-26 by Philip Delsing

Hi,

Today I tried to print an 9 by 18 inch image on A3+ paper.
A3+ paperformat is about 13 by 19 inch.
I printed the image in Photoshop.

Although the image fits in the paperformat according the print with preview dialog box,
the actual print that came out of the Epson 1160 printer, had been rotated 90 degrees,
and was only printed half, though there was about 5 inches of paperspace left unprint.

So I rotated the image in photoshop, I changed paperposition from portrait to landscape,
I changed the paperformat setting width and length and vice versa, but the same print
came out of the printer.

Could anybody tell me what I have to do to solve this problem?

Best regards,

Philip Delsing.

Philip,

I use an Epson 1160.

After making sure that the proper print size is selected in Photoshop,
I always make sure that the image is rotated to portrait mode on the
screen, no matter if its a landscape or a portrait in reality.

I then check "Portrait" in the Orientation of the print dialogue box.
Then checking that the right paper size is selected.

This is how I do it. Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Andre
