Digital BW, The Print

Could someone please fill me in why the Epson UltraChrome K3 inks, which I
read are the same for the R2400 and the 4800 printers, would cost $70/ea for
the 4800 and $15/ea for the R2400?  Am I missing something here?

Yes you are missing something. 2400 inks are around 15-18ml each, 4800 
inks are 110ml each, you can also get 220ml inks for the 4800.
