Curves for the R2400

Curves for the R2400

2005-10-07 by Bill

Has anyone created curves for the R2400 with Epson Velvet Fine Art
(260 g/m2) or Hahnemuhle Fine Art, Photo Rag 188 or 308 g/m2? If so,
would you mind sharing with others?

OT CS2 with 1280 & MIS UT2

2005-10-08 by Barbara Woolner

Have searched archives with no success. What is the proper setting in CS2
for "color handling" using MIS UT2 on a 1280, WIN XP? Should the "printer"
or "Photoshop" determine the colors?

Thanks,
Barbara

If you're using curves, I'm not sure what difference there would be between
the "No Color Adjustment" in CS2's "Print with Preview" and "Let Printer
Determine" when "No Color Management" is used in the driver.

It really depends on what workflow you're using and whether the image
is RGB or Grayscale, but one thing that is causing a lot of confusion
for users of previous versions who use the "Same As Source" printer
profile setting, in CS2 this no longer exists. To get the same result
you must select "No Color Management". When you do that the printer
profile picklist is disabled and it acts just like Same As Source in
previous versions. If you want to set a specific printer profile that
is different than the image profile ("Document Profile" I think it's
called in that window), then choose "Let Photoshop Determine Colors",
and the printer profile picklist will be enabled. I hope this helps.

Regards,
Clayton

Thanks, Paul and Clayton. Have just upgraded my computer and had a complete
shut down in brain function after reloading everything and trying to get the
monster to perform again.
