roll of 36 slides in a film scanner and then assemble them in one
file for printing. Plus using a film scanner would cut out the slide
numbers on the edge, right?

Someone suggested using a flatbed with a transparancy adapter for
the proofs and then doing the scan of the selects with a film
scanner.

Ideas? >>

My Epson 1680 does this very well and the bed is just the right size. I make
the files about 10mb each and give each a specific name.

All the best!

Andy,

Can you scan a 36 exposure roll in the sleeves, or do you have to take it
out and lay it down on the glass to get all the frames in?

Hi Austin:

If you use the 5 frame across x 7 strip down sheets, you can fit it
vertically in the sheets. 6 frames across won't quite fit.

All the best!

Hi Andy,

That makes sense, since most of these smaller scanners do legal size...so
length wouldn't be an issue, it's width...and 5 x 1.5" is 7.5" and if the
transparency adapter has a wide enough illumination, then 5 sounds like the
magic number before having to go to tabloid.

Austin
