Online service?

Online service?

I realize this group is primarily for people doing their own printing,
but has anyone had any experience with any online services that do a
good job printing black and white?

I tried a couple of online services a while back: Mpix and White House
Custom Color (whcc.com). Printed the same image through both services.
The Mpix image was grainy and had low contrast. The WHCC image had
better resolution and better contrast. It was a satisfying print
overall, though you can do better printing with quadtone, I think.

I believe both companies use color paper, so you may not get
consistently neutral B&W prints.

I've also gotten great color prints from WHCC, btw.

Thanks. Maybe I'll give whcc a try - I tried Mpix a while ago but the
results were average at best.
