Digital BW, The Print

Just wondering what luck people are having with this new set up.  I'm
looking forward to trying it out myself when money and time permit. 
I'm also wondering if it would be possible to use less than the whole
7 ink set, say maybe 3 or 4 shades.  Are any other 3rd party suppliers
(MIS?) working on an 1800 bw inkset?  Thanks ahead of time.

I use just 3 of the k7 grays (#3, 5, and 7) with the k7 MK and get  
very smooth tonal transitions, with QTR and the Epson 4000.  Using  
the carbon sepia grays on the other side of this dual quad setup.
