Question for Paul Roark (C86 EZ curves)

2005-12-08 by mkirschner

Hello Paul,

I'm attempting to use your C86-EZ curves (specifically the C86-
EZ_PA205_Y=W_G22_Con-10.acf curve) with Picture Window Pro 3.5.

I'm downloading from this page per your download instructions:

http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/C86-curves.html

When I attempt to use the curve in PWP 3.5, I get an "illegal curve"
message. I'm perplexed, as PWP is supposed to support .acv files.

For what it's worth when I open the curve file in Windows Notepad,
it looks something like this:

    - d Ü@šþD"ôr©è - d Ü@šþD"ôr©è - d
Ü@šþD"ôr©è - d Ü@šþD"ôr©è

Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks,
Mitch

This is a Transfer Function, not a image adjustment curve. I was able to
open it in CS2 and re-save it as a curve. I'll send it off list. Let me
know if it works.
