Digital BW, The Print

Getting back to b&w printing, this time on a 9500 with K6 and QTR,  
printing via an ethernet card.  I have a couple of questions:

I can get QTR to print, and I ran the install script for the  
profiles, but Photoshop can't seem to locate them.  I've looked in  
the various Profiles folders I know about, thinking that maybe they  
should be dragged to another folder, but I can't find them.  Any help  
on this?

I'm trying to get the Epson Printer Utility to work to run nozzle  
checks and for alignment.  The version I have doesn't seem to see the  
printer, even though the system prefs has it specified.  I thought I  
remembered it working before, but that could have been on a G4 with  
an earlier OS.  This machine is a G5 with Tiger, although eventually  
I'll be setting the G4 back up just to print.  I looked at Epson's  
site to see if there was a later version of the Printer Utility to  
download, but I couldn't find a print utility at all to download.   
Any help appreciated.
