Digital BW, The Print

Happy New Year and I trust a prosperous 2006.

I hardly ever see any mention of Hawk Mountain papers on the forum. They 
have an impressive range and their sample of Merlin Photo looks great. 
Has anyone had experience with this paper or others in the range. How 
does its DMax/Fading compare with others? Any recommendations?

They do get mentioned on occasion, but not as often as the papers with
highest dmax which is probably the most major consideration for fine
art photographers.  Several Hawk Mtn papers are on my A-List of papers I
regularly use.  Please have a look at the "Great Paper Chase" article
at the link below.  It currently lists 26 matte papers and their
attributes.
