Thanks everyone - Clayton your workflow?

Thanks for your comments regarding the epson 2400 printer. Clayton
are you referring to the Black and white workflow you have on your
site? If so I am using it with the ink reduced by 5%. The result are
truly very nice. Maybe I am not as critical as everyone but I have
been looking for a printer that will do both color and black and white
without changing inks. So far my results have been great with the
2400. Thanks again

Yes.

You're welcome, glad it's helpful.

I don't think you need to qualify your opinion, the results are hard
to beat. I've been using the workflow for five months now and it
unfailingly produces beautifully smooth prints, with excellent dmax,
shadow separation, luminance and WYSIWYG. Being able to do proofs in
BO on the R200 is an added bonus. I'm really happy with the whole setup.

Regards,
Clayton

When you refer to the MIS inkset for the 2400 are you referring to the K4 inkset? If so, is this
a "Roark based" inkset and is it recommended for B&W printing?

Thanks,
kingdex

Hello King,

Yes.

I'm not sure, but in any case it's supposed to be excellent. I
haven't used it myself, but I just happen to be discussing it with
someone via email and just a few minutes ago got nearly the same
question confirmed. Here is the essence of his answer:

"I have had no clogging problems with the K4 inks and they look
as good or better in some cases compared to K3 prints"

My question was in the context of matte paper printing.
