tips for QuadTone RIP?

tips for QuadTone RIP?

2006-02-06 by drewgoren

greetings,

anyone have any tips/suggestions for getting started with QuadTone RIP?
i'm using it with an Epson 9600 + UltraChrome inks on Hanamuhle Photo Rag paper.
and/or if you've created any good QIDF curve files and would be kind enough to share
them, that would be helpful too.

ok. thanks,
drew

Yea, you should spend some time reading over the archives on the QTR
Yahoo site.

I do a lot of work on a 9600 with QTR and use Roy's premade curves for
toning.I've never been disappointed with this capability.

For netural - HPR 80C/20w
warm netural - HPR 50c/50w
cool netural - HPR 90c/10w
a carbon sepia tone on William Turner, Moab E.Curves - 80w/20sepia

If you have a densitometer or a spectrophotometer (or access to one), make
use of QTR Create ICC and move to an ICC profile-based workflow.

Move to quarantaine
