Scott, Eric:
The Premier Premium Matte sounds good and the price is right, but who makes
it - what are the specs? Is it archival enough for books? Is the 110 heavy
enough to print both sides without show-through? Has anybody used it?

I think the 110 would be too thin. I've used the 210 which is quite pliable and not stiff like EEM.

Arlene, The paper that I was going to get back to the group about is Somerset Book, 115g. I don't think that I'd use it for double sided printing. The whole ink jet book thing is relatively new. Hi quality double sided book paper is not something that I have seen, but I print for photographers making prints of their art work as well as their studio work. I also print for myself. This is where my book interest is now. I have helped get some "one off" special portfolio print books with paper drilled holes, leather bound cover, etc. Those books were made with the Cone Warm Ink set and we used glassine interleaving. I found them wanting a bit more polish. That was done over 3 years ago. The Somerset Book paper would work fine for one side printing or light inking on two sides but that is only a guess. I like the feel of it and plan on using it to make my custom printed How to make Platinum/Palladium prints book. With the newer X800 series printers, the quality is fine and I believe clean enough to work. I have very little experience with Epson papers. I simply saw too many early problems to bother with them. And since I don't use PK or so little as to be a none issue for me, I can't give any opinion on their paper. I deal with Michael Ginsberg at Legion Papers in NY. I found him to be full of information and willing to send ample samples.
