If the seal is not broken on the carts of the CIS/CFS, the ink will not dry
out.

If the seal at the outlet of the CIS is broken -- that is, if you had
installed them -- then you need MIS "rivets" to stick in the outlet holes to
seal them up. NoMoreCarts also has a system that has pegs in an acrylic
holder that is a little more convenient than the MIS individual rivets but
much more expensive. With the MIS rivets costing about 2 cents per, get a
bunch for any cleaning carts, etc. you may use.

Just be sure the ink is not exposed to the air so that it can dry out. Tape
might work, but be sure it seals.

Sam,
Thanks for writing.
Fortunately I have not yet installed the filled carts and the openings are
not punctured - just the end of the tube is open. They are MIS carts.

Paul,

I have not installed and punctured the seals so I dont need to worry
about that end - only the tube ends are open. Should these be taped
or sealed in some way ? This end is open to the air and I guess could
dry ?
