Clogged 1200?

I am using Lyson Quad Black inks in an Epson 1200. I noticed I had slight banding so I tried a head clean . After that I had no gray color in the two lightest grays. There are no lights on to say change the cartridge. Have I just got air or should I change the cartridge? paulm
