Can you use Epson Smooth Fine Art in a Canon 8400 Pigment for B/W?

Can you use Epson Smooth Fine Art in a Canon 8400 Pigment for B/W?

2006-04-11 by Richard Coda

My printers (two 7600s) are in storage until our new house is finished.
I want to print out 2 images as gifts for a friend. A business
acquaintance of mine has a Canon 8400 Pigment printer but his choice of
papers is limited to types I'm not interested in. For B/W, can I run
some of my own Smooth Fine Art through his Canon without hurting his
printer or producing bad prints? I know I have to try it, but I thought
I'd ask first. Thanks, Rich.

The Canon Wide Format list has messages mentioning Canvas,
Canon Enhanced Velvet by Somerset 255gsm and Canon Fine Art
Photo by Hahnemuhle 188gsm being used in a W8400 Canon printer.

So it will be no problem.
