No. The sepia-neutral (or whatever it will be called) will be in addition to the standard MIS VM inkset, as far as I know. (Recall, I don't speak for MIS. I just play with inks to get what I'm after and hope that MIS picks up the formula so I don't have to do my mixing.) > I just purchased a 4oz test >size for use in my 1160 about a month ago. Works great for me. And quite a few others. So, I can't imagine MIS would alter the mix. > If I had one criticism ... it was I >would like a little more punch in the blacks, Wouldn't we all. The MIS VM black was the best MIS could find. I use Piezo black as my standard and designed the system for Piezo black. I think it was clear to MIS that if they couldn't find one as good I'd be using Piezo black ink. However, they did find one that is just as good. It's the best combination of depth of black plus longevity that I or they could find. Some day we'll have better inks. However, for now, I'm sticking with MIS VM K. > BUT not at the expense of the archival life of the inks. I agree totally. In fact, I'm pushing for better longevity. I want my prints to be accepted as "archival." We may not get to the toned silver print class for a number of years, but several hundred years life (i.e., beating Epson's pigs) is within sight.
