Postcards on Moab Entrada

2006-05-02 by fruitlessbeast

Hi Miriam,
I noticed your post on the BW site regarding printing postcards on your 2200. I have done
this often, both on the 2200 and the R2400 using Moab Entrada double sided paper.
http://www.moabpaper.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=37
I use one Photoshop file with two layers, printing it twice - first for the image layer, then the
text layer while reinserting the paper flipped. Practice on a scrap to get your orientation.
Christmas before last I printed 100 8x10's of an image of snow in 1939 at the Burbank
Studios with the caption and archival info on back to give to our clients.
Hope this helps.

Not sure if I understand what you are doing. I have to print the front
and back separately of course, but why are you printing text and image
separate passes??

Hi Jerry,
The image went on front with the text on back.
Obviously, there's no way to make it a single pass. As you point out, you understand you
have to print the front and back separately.
There you go.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
