Hello Everyone, I just used this paper and WOW. It's a glossy but it doesn't look like a typical RC paper. I was wondering if it's made using the same technology as the new Museo Silver Rag and Premier Platinum Rag. The image just pops off the page with no bronzing! Steve

The OBA-free base looks like Crane Silver Rag, but it has more texture -- too much for me. Unlike the claims, it did not do well with matte black ink -- very dull black. The dmax was lower than Crane SR. So, it's not a paper that I'd rate very highly either. Paul www.PaulRoark.com

Has anyone got their hands on the Hahnemuhle Satin fiber base glossy media yet? They told me 2 months ago that it was already out of beta testing. All I've heard is rumors so far. john --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Paul Roark" <paul.roark@...> wrote: > > > > > ... Hi Steve: I'm wondering which ink set and printer you are using. I've found that the K3 inks on the Oriental Graphica FB look much better than the Utrachrome K2 inks. Paul .....What inks are you using to do your testing?

I tried some of this about a year ago and found it had a low dmax and was
hard to avoid physical damage to the print from the printer. It did not
seem to be the same as Crane SR.

I just tried some of the latest version of this also. The OBA-free base
looks like Crane Silver Rag, but it has more texture -- too much for me.
Unlike the claims, it did not do well with matte black ink -- very dull
black. The dmax was lower than Crane SR. So, it's not a paper that I'd
rate very highly either.

The inks I use are the MIS Ultra Tone inks. I test papers with both PK and MK. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
